Abou the book: The evolution of Calpurnia Tate is a book about 12- year old Calpurnia who lives in Texas in the year 1899. Calpurnia's mum want's to make her a woman, who helps in the kitchen and who does a lot of hand-crafts. But Calpurnia wants to be a biologist. She is very interested in nature. Calpurnia then slowly gets to know her grandfather better, whilst they explore the eild outdoors. 

So basically the book is about life in the year 1899!

Rate: I really love this book so it gets a 5/5!

One Book A Week❤️

Hi. I think I'm going to start a thing called; One Book A Week!

So basically, what I'm going to do every week is suggesting good book I've read. I'm going to telll you a little bit about it, rate it and talk about my opinion on the book. Ofcourse I'm going to tell you who the author is, when it was published and in which language it originally was written in.

This week's suggestion is;

The Ruby Red series!

The series include: Ruby Red, Saphire Blue and Emerald Green.

Author: Kerstin Gier.

Original language: German.

Genre: Romance, science fiction, fantasy and historical fiction.

Publishing years: 2009, 2010 and 2012.

About the series: Gwendolyn Shepherd is 16 years old and quite normal, at least she thinks she is. There is a gene in her family that makes the carrier of the gene travel back in time. It was calculated long ago that Charlotte, her cousin, would get that gene. She's been practicing years from since she was little for the future trips to the past. And all for nothing! Because as it turns out, Gwendolyn's the gene carrier. She now has to tell her mother about these uncontrollable time jumps. Her mother takes her to a huge building which is kind of a head quarters for the time travellers. There's only two time travellers in the present time; Gwenny and Gideon de Villiers. Gwenny then has to insert her blood in a cronograph, to avoid uncontrollable time jumps. There was another cronograph, but Lucy Montrose and Paul de Villiers, other time travellers, took it with them to the past and now the can't com back to the future.

Rate: 5/5. I LOOOOOVE IT SOOO MUCH!!❤️❤️❤️

OK. This was a little bit poorly explained, bit that's pretty much it. I hope you read this book, beacause it's my favourite book. Yes, it's even better than Harry Potter I daresay!

31. Last book you read? I actually read the book yesterday soo. It is called Finding Audrey and it's by Sophie Kinsella. I loved that book soo much! 5/5 from me, I really recommend it.
32. The book you're currnetly reading? Harry Potter and the Prizoner of Azkaban. Don't get me wrong now, I have read the whole HP series, but in finnish. So, I decided to read them in english!

Dogs❤️

Heyy!

Oh dear I'm soo, soo excited!! We're getting a dog on October 30th! 

He's an Austrailian Labradoodle. It's a crossing between a Poodle and Labrador. It's not an official breed in Finland yet...

It was 'made' for a blind woman who needed a guide dog, but her husband was allergic. 

I am so excited! Argghhh 26 days left... Well, that'll go fast. I hope!

Nature stuff❤️

Hi loves!

Today me and one of my best friends went on a walk to look at this HUGE oak tree. I have went there before and it's like 500 meters from my house. It was a pretty day today, although, I would love for it to get slightly colder in the day as well, something like 9 degrees celsius... I just really want to get into the autumn mood!

The Struggle Is Real...

Hi!

Today I FINALLY got my hands on a computer, so now I've got my hands on the blog!
If you notice (which I hope you will, otherwise something went wrong) I've changed the background to some autumn because, fun fact, autumn is my favorite season, because it's so colorful.
I also put a profile picture...and some info about me down below! Check it out if you want to!

I've been working on this for two hours now, and I'm quite happy with it. Ofcourse there are still things I'd like to change but don't know how, but anyways I'm more happy with it now than I was before!

I'ts my brothers birthday tomorrow and it's friday, which means school... I should probably eat something now and go to sleep!

Loviisa❤️

Heyyy!

I'm so, so sorry that I've been so inactive lately. And I don't have an excuse for that...

Anyways today we went to Loviisa, a city in southern Finland, to visit a happening called Loviisan vanhat talot, which means Loviisa's old houses! You basically go and look at old houses. My dad had, who is a paint seller and paints old houses, had a little stand, amongst the many others.

So the rest of my family decided to go there too! 

It was really pretty there, but a little bit windy! I would really want to live there when I'm older❤️ I bet it's beautiful there in the winter! 

Then it started raining...

We ate alot! I got this DELICIOUS chocolate mousse cake❤️❤️ I got pretty full, whoops.

After that we just went to some thrift shops and I found this BEAUTIFUL fluffy sweater❤️ It's so fluffy I'm going to die!!

I had a really great time, although my trousers got a bit dirty, thanks to mum and my brother who accidentally kicked me, so now I have dirt on my trousers!!

I haven't opened the package yet, because we're in Helsinki now...
But I will!!

Adventures❤️

Heyy!
Yesterday me, my brother and my mom went biking about 14km!
(So proud of myself)
We had the luck on our side, because it was sunny and maybe something like 19C! But the bad thing was you got really hot.
So we biked and stopped at an outdoor museum to have some coffee.
The museum was a museum where you can see how people's houses looked like before.
There were also 2 sheep and 3 super tiny lambs!!
One of the sheep had lots of wool and I bet it was hot!
After that we biked back.
It was super fun just to bike somewhere and have a brake and bike back!

So as you may know, I live in Finland. It's not super hot here in the summer, and technically it's not even summer yet here, because it's raining and 16C...

I just want it to be 25C and sunny so I could even once go to the beach...

Random Update❤️

Hi!

This is going to be a little, random update.

So I am saving for an iPhone 6, but I really suck at saving, but now I don't have much left! I actually thought at first that I'd get it next year, then in October but now I'll probably get it in August!!

If you read ny first blog post you'd that our family's getting a dog, and the puppies were born a few days ago. We are the fifth in line to get a dog and there were five puppies born so we might not get from this "family"...

I'm starting sixth grade this year and you can't even tell how excited I am!!

Strawberries❤️

Hi! Today we went to pick strawberries, at a place with many long rows of strawberries.
So basically you get to choose the biggest and the most perfect strawberries! And a little extra plus, is that you can eat as many as you want!
We picked about 10 kilograms of strawberries!

Strawberry Swiss Roll❤️

Hi, so today I made a strawberry swiss roll and I thought I'd share the recipe with you!

STRAWBERRY SWISS ROLL: 

Ingredients:

4 eggs

1 1/2 dl sugar

1 dl flour (you can use gluten-free)

1 dl potato flour

1 tsp baking powder

Filling:

2 dl whipped cream

1/2 dl sugar

4 dl strawberries

1. Whip the eggs and sugar into a stiff foam.

2. Measure the flour, potato flour and baking powder into a bowl and mix them well.

3. Add the flours into the egg- and sugar-mixture with a sieve.

4. Bake the swiss roll in the oven in 220 C about 5-8 minutes.

5. Sprinkle some sugaron a sheet of baking paper and flip the roll on it.

6. Whip the cream and spread it on the roll.

7. Chop the strawberries into smaller pieces and putthem on.

8. Roll the roll and voilà! You are done!

Ps. I aplogize for my horrible translation, I had to use google translate...

Children's day❤️

Hi!

Every summer our family has this thing called "Childrens day". That day me and my brother can choose what we do and eat that day. 

So, today we have the childrens day and we just ate a delicious breakfast (Croisant, strawberries, watermelon and chocolate). Our plans for today are; see a movie, go to town, make a fort and some other nice things!

This was just a quick little update and I hope y'all have a nice day.

A trip to the South❤️

Hi again!
So, last week (1.7), I went alone (!) to Barcelona to meet my cousins who live in Sabadell (close to Barcelona).
The flight went well, except for the fact that I had black jeans, and sat next to the window, when the sun was shining and oh boy, was I on fire!
Well, so after that my cousins came to meet me there so we could go to their house.
To be honest, I had a blast! We went to see La Sagrada Família, Montsserrat and Barcelona! When we didn't do that we went to town so I could by FOUR shirts for only 20€!
When I came back I found out that my luggage was still in Barcelona! Can you believe it? And, I had a priority bag because I was an unacompanied minor! Well, luckily my bag arrived yesterday, two days after I came back!
But anyways, I won't let that ruin this awesome journey to Spain❤
Here I will add as many pictures as I took on my phone (which is not much because I took all pictures on my tablet, because it focuses so much better), for example my cat on my luggage...

Life in the North❤️

Hi, welcome to my life here in the North in Finland! It's important to be polite, so I'm going to introduce myself: My name is Anna and I live in Finland in the second oldest city in Finland, Porvoo. It's not far away from the capital, Helsinki, only 45 kilometers. Our family has many animals; A bunny called Tiikeri (which means tiger in finnish), a cat called Kaino (she's very fat), chickens and sheeps in the summer! In September we're going to get a dog, an Austrailian Labradoodle!
OK. Enough about animals and more about me. I am a total bookworm! My favourite genre is fantasy but I also love John Green's books!
I love, love, love to bake!
I play the piano and I can also play a little bit of guitar.
My mum's dad is spanish and I just a week ago went to see my second cousins there (there might come a blogpost about my trip there later)!
